Digital Transformation in Tourism: Strategies snd Technologies

In the context of global digitalization, the tourism sector is undergoing a profound transformation driven by emerging technologies, evolving customer expectations, and increasing competitive pressure. Digital transformation in tourism extends beyond the mere adoption of digital tools; it encompasses the redesign of service ecosystems, business models, and value creation processes across destinations, organizations, and tourism networks.

The track “Digital Transformation in Tourism: Strategies and Technologies” focuses on the strategic and technological dimensions of this transformation, with particular attention to the specific characteristics and challenges of the tourism industry. It aims to explore how digital technologies—such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, platform systems, and smart technologies—are reshaping tourism experiences, enabling personalization, and supporting more efficient and sustainable operations.

Furthermore, the track addresses the role of leadership, organizational change, and digital competencies in tourism organizations, as well as the importance of cybersecurity, ethical considerations, and regulatory frameworks. Special emphasis is placed on sustainable and responsible digital transformation, aligning technological innovation with environmental, social, and economic goals in tourism.

By bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives from academia and practice, this track seeks to provide actionable insights, innovative approaches, and evidence-based contributions that advance digital transformation in tourism.
